Starting June 3rd, Contra Costa County allows outdoor swimming camps to operate. For the month of June, we will offer a special summer swim camps for those of ages 7 to 17 years old who have had previous swim experience or know the basics strokes. This camp will focus on swimming techniques such as stroke instruction, stroke refinement, strength and endurance training.

As of now, we are still unable to offer swimming lessons yet. Of course, we miss all our little swimmers and we truly hope that we can reopen for swimming lessons for them in July.

We really appreciate everyone support during this unprecedented and unpredictable time. We are hoping to see everyone back very soon.

Swim Camp Details

We are currently only offering 2 swim camps so please reserve the spots as soon as possible before it gets filled. The placement will be based on first come, first served basis.

Date: June 11th and end on July 2nd Monday – Friday.

Time: 4:00pm-4:45pm or 5:00pm-5:45pm

Registration closes June 10, 2020.

Cost is $160 per swimmer plus $10 registration fees (Registration fees is for each year). In order to minimize contacts as much as possible, we are now requiring parents to sign up and make payment online.

Here are the Contra Costa County guidelines for the safe reopening of the outdoor swimming camp.

Current County Health guidelines suggest children with underlying medical conditions not participate in this swim camp.

Camp Rules

  • Campers will be part of a stable group of 12 or fewer campers, there will be no changing from one group to another and no mixing of the group.
  • Parent/Guardian will be required to wear face coverings when entering the facility. Please limit to one parent/one guardian for each family. Masks aren’t required to wear for campers and their coach(es), due to stable group. (“stable” means that the same 12 or fewer children are in the same group each day)
  • Campers should shower and use the bathroom at home before arriving.
  • Campers should also enter and leave with their suits on. You will be unable to use the locker rooms and shower at this moment except for use as a restroom. On that note, we recently added new shower rooms for our students so hopefully you will get to use those new showers soon 
  • Parents, counselors and campers are responsible for the safety of themselves and others. Parents will be required to fill out the “self-declaration” for their kids when they enter the camp as and should also self-screen their child using the “Respiratory Illness Symptom Screening Tool for Parents and Caregivers” provided by Contra Costa County (link). This includes
    1. Body temperature is below 100°F
    2. No shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    3. No cough
    4. No chills
    5. No muscle pain
    6. No sore throat
    7. No loss of taste or smell
  • All registration and payments should be conducted online. If you are our existing student, you can also call to make the payment over the phone.
  • All gatherings will be prohibited outside the pool, such as on pool decks, except that members of a household may observe a child or other person swimming to ensure safety and supervision.
  • We have limited bleachers to sit but will not provide additional chairs at this time. We strongly encouraged patrons to bring their own picnic chairs as we have plenty of space to socially distance in the outdoor grass area.
  • There will be 15 minutes between camper groups to clean the facility and sanitized. Parents should arrive on time and must pick up their campers when the camp is over.
  • The camp is non-refundable.

M-F 5:30am-9:00am will be open only if there is 48 hours in advance appointment request and aren’t unable to make it during the normal club operation hours above.
