  • PRESCHOOL GROUP LEVELS

    PRESCHOOL BEGINNER LEVEL 1

    • Safe comfortable entry
    • Intro to basic kicking front and back
    • Blows bubbles
    • Submerging
    • Attempts to Gator Crawl
    • Intro to front and back floating (with assistance)

    PRESCHOOL INTERMEDIATE LEVEL 2

    • Gator Crawl (intro to kicking)
    • Dives for rings at 2.5-3 feet
    • Safe wall exit at 3ft
    • Can belly float unassisted
    • Intro to Mermaid Swimming (underwater unassisted swimming)

    PRESCHOOL ADVANCE LEVEL 3

    • Mermaid swim independently 3-7 feet long & come up for a breath
    • Can belly and back float unassisted
    • Dives for rings at 3-3.5 feet
    • Jumps in at 3 feet without being caught
    • Jumps in independently at 3 feet, swim around and climbs out on own
    • Introduction to kickboard

    Free Swim Assessment at Solar Swim & Gym

    Swimming is an essential skill for personal safety to prevent needless tragedy. We’ve built our 82-year reputation on that belief. There’s a big difference between thinking your child knows how to swim and seeing for yourself. As a service to the Antioch community, Solar Swim & Gym is offering first-come, first-serve free swim assessments in our heated outdoor pool.

    Date: Sat., April 24, 2021
    Time: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
    Where: Solar Swim & Gym, 111 W 15th St., Antioch, CA 94509

    The assessment, given by our experienced swim coaches, will only take about 10 minutes. It is simply a way to gauge a swimmer’s ability and technique across a range of skills and strokes. Parents must accompany and monitor their children during and after the assessment. After the assessment, your child will be treated to free cookies and ice cream.
