Regional Center Funded Options Available

Are you a client of the Regional Center of the East Bay (RCEB)? We're proud to be an authorized, certified vendor, offering adaptive swim pathways, private 1:1 instruction, and welcoming group classes that can be fully or partially covered under your service plan.

We work with Self-Determination funding, direct vendor billing through your caseworker (we'll just need their email to get started), or simple out-of-pocket payment, whichever is easiest for your family. Once we hear from you, we can usually get your child set up quickly. This is one more way we live out our commitment to being a club for everybody, at every age and every ability.

Keep the Progress Going Between Lessons âš¡

One lesson a week is a great start, but a little extra pool time is where real progress happens. A Solar Swim & Gym Club Membership gives your family full access to open swim hours, so your child can keep practicing what they've learned and building water confidence all week long.

Lesson Registration & Policies

Here's what to know before your first lesson: our billing terms, attendance policies, and pool safety guidelines. Click a section to expand.

1. Registration & Tuition Payment
  • Annual Registration Fee: A one-time, non-refundable $25.00 fee per student, charged once per calendar year when you first enroll.
  • Group Lessons: A non-refundable $75.00 deposit (or full payment) holds your spot in a group class. Any remaining balance is due by the first day of the session.
  • Private Lessons: Full payment for your block of four lessons, plus the annual fee, is due upfront to hold your time slot.
  • Late Payments: Balances not paid by the start of the session incur a $20.00 late fee. Accounts still unpaid after the first week may be unenrolled.
2. Auto-Renewal & Payment Issues

To make sure your child never loses their spot or their coach, lessons renew automatically each session. If you'd like to stop, just send our office a written request and we'll take care of it.

If a chargeback is filed with your bank without reaching out to us first, a $25.00 processing fee applies along with repayment of the balance, and your account will be paused until it's resolved with our team directly. We're always happy to work things out, please just talk to us first.

3. Attendance & Makeup Classes
  • Group Makeups: Missed a group class? You can book up to two makeup classes per session for a $10.00 fee each. Makeups not used are forfeited.
  • Private Lesson Makeups: Give us at least 24 hours' notice (through the portal or by email) to keep your credit for a missed private lesson. Late arrivals and no-shows unfortunately aren't eligible for makeup or credit.
  • Practice Pass Option: Prefer not to book a formal makeup? Ask us for a free open-swim practice pass instead, so your child can keep playing and practicing during regular open hours with you there.
4. Cancellations & No-Shows

Group Programs: To cancel, send us written notice by the second-to-last Thursday before the next session starts. Later cancellations carry a $25.00 fee. Once a session has started, that block is non-refundable.

No-Shows: Missing the first week of a group session without letting us know means we'll release your spot, and the $75.00 deposit isn't refundable. For private lessons, two missed sessions in a row without notice will move your slot to our Standby List.

5. Parent Supervision & Pool Deck
  • Please walk your child hand in hand to and from their instructor, and stay on-site for the full 30-minute lesson.
  • Kids under 5, or anyone who needs help with the restroom, should have a parent close by to assist.
  • To help swimmers stay focused, we ask parents to watch from the bleacher area rather than the pool deck, unless a staff member invites you closer.
6. Swimwear, Swim Diapers & Hygiene

Swimwear: Please arrive in proper swimwear. Street clothes, cotton tees, and denim aren't allowed in the pool. Long hair should be tied back or in a swim cap, and everyone rinses off briefly before getting in.

Swim Diapers: Any student who isn't fully potty-trained (including overnight diaper users) needs our three-layer swim diaper setup: a disposable swim diaper, a snug reusable diaper wrap, and a regular swimsuit on top. We'll check the fit before pool entry to make sure everything's snug and safe.

7. Pool Closure Fees

Occasionally, an accident happens, and when it does, health codes require us to close the pool for cleaning. We hate charging fees like this, but they help cover the real cost of getting the pool back open safely:

  • Minor Incident (30 min to 1 hr closure): $75.00 cleanup fee
  • Major Incident (full-day closure): $300.00 sanitation recovery fee
8. Illness, Weather & General Rules

Health: If your swimmer is feeling sick, please keep them home until they've been symptom-free for at least 24 hours. It keeps the whole pool community healthy.

Weather: Lessons run rain or shine! We only cancel for lightning or safety concerns, and we'll text you right away if that happens.

Pool Rules: No running on the deck, and swimmers should exit the pool at the end of their lesson block. If your child would like to keep swimming afterward, that's available to club members and registered guests ($10/adult, $7/minor drop-in).
